Island travel

1. Planning a trip to another state can be a bit stressful, but planning a trip outside the United States can be twice as overwhelming. If you plan to travel to St. Lucia you should look into going by air travel. With that being said you will definitely need your passport with at least one page empty for the flight attendant to stamp. If you were to leave from Atlanta, considering you want a nonstop flight, you would arrive in St. Lucia in 4 hours and 30 minutes. Currently, a nonstop trip would cost roughly $480 dollars, but it does depend on what time of the year you travel and which airline you chose. At the moment there are restrictions in traveling to St Lucia, you must obtain a negative covid test and quarantine for 14 days.  Although, if you were to travel during regular times, you would have little to no hardships finding a flight and wouldn't need to present medical information.

2.  If you were to travel to the Caribbean, where would you stay? Whenever I would travel I would always choose an Airbnb or better known as a rental house. They are more affordable than most hotels and provide security and privacy. During your stay, you can choose an Airbnb from April 12th through April 17th and only pay $77 per night. Different types of amenities are provided such as your own kitchen, a workspace, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning.

3- During my stay at St. Lucia a couple of places I would love to visit are different hiking sites. The Pitons, Tet Paul, and  Soufriere are the top three hiking spots, they are definitely a challenge but obtain beautiful scenery and wildlife. During the hike in Soufriere, I would be able to see beautiful sites such as the Anse beach, Botanical gardens, and the Sulphur spring park, which makes it the first one I would visit. Other things I would be interested in are going snorkeling, which would be the most difficult for me since I do not know how to swim very well, I would think twice about this one though. St. Lucia attracts me because of its nightlife. It's filled with different types of music such as salsa, jazz, and other upbeat genres. With that being said I would attend events at night that involve music, dancing, and drinking in the Lincoln center during my stay.

4- In St. Lucia there are more than enough things to do, events to attend and music to dance to. During your stay here, you can go rock climbing, go hiking in the Pitons and witness beautiful scenery if you want to stay active. If you want to relax and enjoy your time, you can go down to Marigot Bay bring a beach towel, sunglasses, and a chair to lay and relax or go shopping at the Castries market. Although, if you're feeling adventurous you can try snorkeling, go out dancing drinking or go to a local event since St. Lucia always has events that involve sweet cocktails, dancing, and music.

5.  Realistically speaking a vacation can be detrimental to your savings. If you want to be budget-friendly I would recommend staying under $3,000-$4,000. This would be including flight expenses, toiletries', Airbnb, and the expenses on all the events and food you have.
